The Artistic Vision
In this inaugural edition, artist Ehsan Al-Hada introduces a profound visual translation of her lived experience. By masterfully navigating the stark contrast between light and darkness, her work examines the fragmented nature of reality and serves as a conscious, powerful act of reclaiming her identity from the shadows.
"This project is more than just art; it is a conscious act of reclaiming identity."
About the Artist
Ehsan Al-Hada is a Yemeni human rights activist and artist whose journey has been defined by displacement and an unyielding commitment to her truth. Forced to flee her homeland due to severe threats to her life and identity, she has faced complex forms of persecution and social exclusion.
Despite living under strict security and psychological pressures in temporary exile, Ehsan continues her vital struggle. Through writing, drawing, digital human rights activism, and filmmaking, she transforms personal and political isolation into impactful contemporary art.
